The Basswood in Nature:

During spring, the quietly flowering Basswood tree commonly goes unnoticed to us, but not to the bees. The tree produces fragrant, yellow flowers that dangle under the heart shaped leaves and during May and July, the flowers produce prolific amounts of nectar that is favoured by wandering bees.
